Since she was apparently rather summarily ditched from the judging panel of The X Factor last year, former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger has not only been concentrating on her own career in music, she’s also been starring in hit musical, Cats. And it seems that her success in the role of Grizabella has ensured that when the musical is adapted for the silver screen, she’s assured of a role in it, albeit possibly not in the character she has been playing.A source close to the singer is quoted by The Sun as saying, “Cats has enjoyed a huge renaissance since its West End return last month.
“Nicole’s role of Grizabella is likely to go to a veteran Hollywood diva, as she’ll be considered too young for it.
“But there’s a chance she’ll be considered for another role given her close association with the musical and strong performances in the West End.”
The insider concluded, “The movie will be full of top stars who will be trained to sing live.”In other news, Nicole has revealed that she’s finding it tough going at times to keep her incredibly slim figure while she’s living in chilly London…And that’s because while in her native Los Angeles, she finds it’s warm enough to only want to eat salads, here in the UK, the freezing temperatures of late have seen her tucking into curries.Speaking to Cosmopolitan Body, Nicole said, “When I finish work, it can be really hard to eat healthily.
“When it’s cold you just want to eat a melted-cheese Panini and soup.”
She added, “I’m going to turn into a cup of tea and a curry by the time I leave London,” before continuing, “I eat differently in the UK from when I’m in LA.
“Over there, I’m happy eating a kale salad, but with this weather, I’ve been eating a lot of curry.”
However, there are it seems some positives to good old Blighty as she concluded, “London inspires me…
“It’s like being in a movie.”
